Linda Pearson

Linda Carol Pearson, age 83, of Moundville, Alabama, passed away July 5, 2024, after a sudden decline in health at Hospice of West Alabama.

Linda was born on July 29, 1940 to Claude S. Pearson and Louise Kelly Pearson. After graduating from Berry High School in 1959, Linda worked at several jobs in Fayette before moving to Tuscaloosa and starting her career with the Alabama Forestry Commission, from which she retired after 22 and ½ years.

She spent much of her time caring for her mother and family members. She loved to shop, find bargains, watch old movies, and work in her yard. 

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Claude S. Pearson; mother, Virginia Louise Kelly Pearson; brother, William “Billy” Pearson; nephew, Andy Pearson; and niece Janet Vogeler.

She is survived by her sisters, Vivian Gray of Berry an Sandra McBride of Moundville; and her brother, Terry Lee Pearson of Moundville. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved pets – Marley, Cesar, and Rosie.

Pallbearers will be Billy Gray, Joey Gann, Trenton McMillian, Levi O’Neal, Von Jarvis, George Nassany, and Jarrod Owens.

Honorary pallbearers are friends and neighbors of Moundville, AL, employees of the Alabama Forestry Commission, and Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be officiated by Reverend Drew Self at Magnolia Chapel North on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama or to your favorite charity.
