Lillian Inez Davis Hall MOUNDVILLE Lillian Inez Davis Hall, age 92, of Moundville, died September 19, 2013, at home. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2013, at Moundville United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Curtin officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be Sunday one hour prior to services at the church. Inez was the last remaining member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Julia M. Davis; sister, Eleanor D. Johnson; brother, Virgil Julian Davis; and sister, Mildred D. Elkins. Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Manly W. Hall, Jr.; sons, Manly W. Hall III (Vicki) of Bucksnort, Ala., Ronald D. Hall (Jenny) of Foley, Ala., and Michael W. Hall (Mary) of Mobile, Ala.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Inez was a graduate of Hale County High School in 1938, finishing her junior year at the University of Alabama, before marrying in September of 1942. She followed her husband during his Army Air Corps flight training before he was deployed to England in 1943. She was a substitute teacher for many years at HCHS, and worked at the family grocery and dry goods store, Five Points Mercantile. She was active in the Moundville United Methodist Church throughout her life, and served the community via a host of clubs, organizations and charities. The family wishes to thank a special member of the family, Ilean Jackson, as well as a group of cherished caregivers, Burnette Robertson, LaKeshia Harris, Phillesia Ryans, Carrie Ball, Melissa Lewis and Joyce Sanders. Pallbearers will be Eunice Bibby, Jerry Tucker, Mike Thomas, Winn Hall, Chris Darden, Lance Hall, Kyle Hoffert, and Paul Jackson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to United Methodist Children's Home Ministry Headquarters, 3140 Zelda Court, Montgomery, AL 36106.
