SUSAN LEXELL WHALEN KIKER, of Lake View, Alabama age 76, passed this life on February 10, 2019 from natural causes at her home.

A Gathering of Family and Friends To Celebrate the Life of Susan will take place at her home in Lake View, Alabama, Friday February 15, 2019 from 3 pm to 5 pm.

Susan is preceded in death by her husband Joe Lester Kiker, and her parents Howard Clarence Whalen and Charlene Whalen Dodd.

All her siblings survive her, who are Rexall Whalen (wife Gloria), Billy Rodger Whalen, Tony Frank Whalen (wife Carolyn), and Judy Whalen Evans.

Susan is survived by four loving children: Richard Hayden Kiker (wife Debra), Vicki Kiker Courrier (husband Ernie), Catherine Kiker Jansen (husband Rick), and Joseph Keith Kiker (wife Vickie). Adoring grandchildren who survive her are Zachary , Logan, Nick, Amanda, Cambria, Alex, Samantha, Benjamin, Justin, Shalyn, and Chloe. Her great grandchildren all survive her and are Emory, Lola, Landon, Wyatt, Noah, Ali, and Anderson. Susan is survived by countless nieces and nephews.

Her very Special Friend William Claude McCullar predeceased her.

Susan will be missed by many sweet friends to numerous to list.

Susan was raised in Haleyville, was an active Democrat and served as President of the USW Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees, Chapter Bessemer, Alabama. She was the wife of the first mayor of Lake View, for whom she campaigned ardently.

Susan, a Shining Star of this Earth of Ours, will be missed by many, especially her loving children.
