Leslie Gene Wilder NORTHPORT - Leslie Gene Wilder, age 78, of Northport, died August 5, 2017, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Rev. Tim Tindle officiating. A private graveside service will follow in Haygood Cemetery in Samantha, Alabama with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 8, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Mr. Wilder was preceded in death by his father, Jim Wilder and his mother, Elizabeth; his first wife, Janelle Wilder; step son, Chris Richardson; and brother, Arnold Wilder. Survivors include his wife, Zola Wilder; step daughter, Tammy Ellis (Jeff); step grandsons, Trent Fondren and Tyler Fondren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jeff Ellis, Trent Fondren, Tyler Fondren, Dale Phillips, Randy Phillips, Cliff Johns, Russell Willcutt and Wayne Rushing. Honorary pallbearers are his friends and neighbors of Springfield Avenue and Royal Oaks Circle, past employees of Automotive Parts, Don Kirkland, his old hunting buddies and Hospice of West Alabama.
