Lauri Dunn was born on July 20, 1953 in Gary, Indiana, where she resided until she moved to Alabama with her husband in the 1970’s. After a long battle with breast cancer, she passed away peacefully at Hospice of West Alabama on the night of February 22, 2022.
Lauri spent most of her life as a stay-at-home mom taking care of her three children, and as they grew, she acted as a second mother to many of their friends. Most people knew Lauri as a very caring, outspoken, and strong-willed woman with a love for everything Elvis Presley. The only thing greater than her love for Elvis was the love she had for her children, Eddy, Paula, and Tommy. In her short time with us on this Earth, she touched the lives of so many people. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all of those who had the pleasure of knowing her forever.
Pallbearers will be Eddy Dunn, James Jones, Mark Turner, Jared Mitchell, Landen Cook, David Plowman, Jimmy Jones, and Jordan Wise.
