EUTAW - Laurene Cole Hales, age 91, of Eutaw, Ala., passed away July 15, 2018 at Greene County Nursing Home. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at Eutaw UMC with Rev. Robert Crumbley, Rev. Jim Richwine and Chip Beeker officiating. Burial will follow in Mesopotamia Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing.

She is preceded in death by her Husband Malcom Payne Hales, son; Randy Reuben Hales, grandson; Clifton Stuart Poole, parents; John Reuben Cole and Reba Smith Cole, brothers; Max Cole and Jack Cole and sister; Lila Jean Storey.

Survivors include her daughters; Betty Ann Langley (Chip) and Rebeca Pope, son; Birney Hales (Sara), Sister; Joyce Mathis, grandchildren; Jay Poole, Shirley French (Jim), Monica Elmore (Donnie), Michael Pope (Tina), and Mary Katherine Hales and 17 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mark Odom, Dickie Odom, Mark Odom, Jr., Jay Poole, Michael Pope, Jimmy French, Ethan Elmore, and Jacob Elmore. Honorary pallbearers will be Mac Poole, staff of Greene County Nursing Home, Members of Eutaw United Methodist Church, Forkland United Methodist Church, and Boligee Presbyterian Church, Don and Bonnie Lancaster, Linda Wheat, Ann Morris, and Mattie Humphries.
