Lary E. Tidmore TUSCALOOSA Lary E. Tidmore, age 70, of Tuscaloosa, died April 20, 2013, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with Reverend Paul Peeples officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Moundville with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos S. Tidmore and Ruth L. Tidmore. Survivors include his wife, Jean G. Tidmore; daughter, Dana Tidmore, son, Neal Tidmore; daughter-in-law, Carol Tidmore; and two granddaughters, Bailey and Briley Tidmore. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a faithful servant to the Lord and his church. Serving as organist and pianist at Southside United Methodist Church, he was a loving and patient accompanist for the choir. He was a willing and cheerful giver to the church. Lary was a barber for over fifty years. He had a great ministry to customers, who were sick and homebound; he would go to their home and cut their hair. Pallbearers will be Billy Rigsby, Roy Bush, David Strickland, Richard Johnson, Donny Carruth, Rev. Wyatt Rhone, and Mervin Hoggle. Honorary pallbearers are members and friends of Southside United Methodist Church, Havana United Methodist Church, Havana Community, Hinton Place Neighbors, Concord Baptist Church, Moundville Church of the Nazarene, and Rev. and Mrs. W.E. Carruth. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Southside United Methodist Church, c/o Rev.
