Larry Holcombe

Larry D. Holcombe, age 73, of Northport, Ala., died July 26, 2017, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, July 30, 2017, at Carolwood Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Carolwood Baptist Church Cemetery, 12191 Graceland Road (off Hwy 43) in Northport with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation; will be one hour prior to services at the church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emory Taylor and Sara Pruett Holcombe. Survivors include his wife, Caprice Rinehart Holcombe; step sons, Jeremy Swiney and Shannon Swiney (Lindsey); sister, Patricia Holcombe Jones (Larry); and grandchildren, Mason, Tymberly, Aiden and Luke Swiney. Larry retired as a captain with 27 years of service in the Northport Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren. Pallbearers will be representatives of the Northport Fire Department. Honorary pallbearers are past and present fireman of the Northport Fire Department and the Tuscaloosa Fire Department.
