Kimberly Ann Wood BESSEMER - Kimberly Ann Wood, age 46, of Bessemer, died April 2, 2017, at UAB West ER. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South Chapel with Bro. Jim Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Baptist Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Ann Watkins; brother, Michael Shane Watkins and grandparents, Fred and Lizzie Watkins and James and Myrtice Smith. Survivors include her husband, Brett Alan Wood of Bessemer; son, Carson Edward Wood of Bessemer; and father, Charles Edward Watkins of Tuscaloosa. Kim was born May 6, 1970 to Charles and Doris Watkins. She has an older brother David. Kim graduated from Hillcrest High School and then attended Shelton State Community College where she earned her LPN degree. She married her husband Brett Wood in 1999. Then in June of 2005, they welcomed their son Carson. Pallbearers will be Ron Smith, Jimmy Robertson, Fred Robertson, Bradley Smith, Brandon Smith and Christopher Terry.
