Kerri Sexton Tucker
TUSCALOOSA - Kerri Sexton Tucker, age 50, a resident of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, passed away on Friday, September 19th, 2018, at UAB Hospital after a hard fought battle with heart failure resulting from a lifetime with Type 1 Diabetes. Services will be held this Saturday, October 27th, 2018, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South, with visitation from 1-2 p.m., and a celebration of her life from 2-3 p.m., with Hank Atchison and Troy Nicholson officiating. Kerri was born on the 14th of July, 1968, in Montgomery, Alabama, to Janet and Denson Sexton. She was raised in Millbrook, Alabama, and graduated from Stanhope Elmore High School. She was a proud Bama graduate with a major in communications and a minor in voice and piano.
Kerri had a successful career in Pharmaceutical sales. She married Chuck Tucker and immediately gained three daughters. During their marriage Kerri became Grandma to seven grandchildren that love her deeply.
She is survived by her loving husband, Chuck Tucker; parents, Denson Sexton and Janet Sieders Sexton, brother, Si Sexton (Christy); mother-in-law, Ann Lancaster Tucker; her girls, Candis Mims (Waylon), Courtney Seale (RJ) and Sydnee Yarbrough (Randy); grandchildren: Caleb Mims (13), Tucker Seale (10), Caylon Mims (10), Brighton Seale (7), Jaxton Seale (5), Brooklyn Mims (2) and Jacob Mims (1); sister-in-law, Donna Tucker Josselyn (Scott); and nephews, Max and Xander Josselyn.
Kerri enjoyed traveling, organizing family trips and events, attending concerts (especially Keith Urban) and she was a loyal Tide Pride member. She shared her generosity with so many, including fostering children. She was an active member of SafeHaven Church and hosted community groups in her home weekly. She served her Lord faithfully through her love and kindness towards all. Her strength and faith in Jesus Christ while facing such difficulties was an inspiration to so many and will be for years to come.

Kerri insisted that this be a celebration of her life and asked that all in attendance wear colorful attire (purple was her favorite color).
