K. Brooks Rouse TUSCALOOSA K. Brooks Rouse, age 65, of Tuscaloosa, passed away May 24, 2012, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. today at Little Sandy Baptist Church with Bro. Ronnie Blake officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Colleen Rouse, a son, Aaron Rouse, and a daughter, Lara Cresswell. Survivors include his daughter, Kim Hardy (Greg) of Birmingham; son, Drew Hill (Amber) of Birmingham; nine grandchildren; brothers, Richard Rouse (Sylvia) of Cottondale and Joe Rouse (Marica) of Tuscaloosa; sister, Patsy Thompson (James) of Moundville; and many nieces and nephews. Brooks loved the Lord so much that he would always say, "May the Lord be with you," and would have a big smile on his face. He was so happy that he knew Jesus as his Savior that he wanted to share it with others. Brooks, for those of us who remain behind, we will always miss you, but we are so happy that you are no longer in pain. See you on the other side one day. He was a graduate of Holt High School, worked for many years as a bricklayer, and retired from Jim Walter Mines.
