Kathleen Beams

Kathleen Griffin Beams, age 83 of Northport, AL. passed away on November 23,2022 at her residence.

Services will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Arbor Springs Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Arbor Springs Cemetery. Brother Terry Oswalt will be officiating.

She is preceded in death by her sisters, Lois Mary Griffin, Lena Elizabeth Griffin, Dorothy Jane Wakefield and Minnie Doris Rice; her brothers, John Luke Griffin, Norris Luther Griffin, Walter Lee Griffin, Thomas David Dunn and Willie Burton Dunn.

She is survived by her husband, James Reuben Beams; daughters, Susan Foley(Keith), Karen Wheat(Randall) and Robin Moses; sons, David M. Beams, Sr.(Shelby Kesel) and Charles Dale Beams(Tammy); 31 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

She enjoyed spending time with family, listening to her gospel music that her brother, Tom Dunn had given her, crocheting, crossword puzzles, playing scrabble, playing rummy and was a great drawer. She made all clothes when her children attended shool, she loved her flowers, canned many vegetables and was awesome at decorating cakes for her family. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and her loving husband, Reuben, who took extra care of her in the past 8 years in her failing health and was married to her for 62 years and 2 months and had practically known each other since she was in the first grade. She was always happy to see family come over and always had a smile for everyone. She is no longer is pain as she has a brand new body.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Babb, Jonathan Babb, Christoper Wheat, Joshua Beams, Matthew Beams and Brian Foley.

Honorary pallbearers, Stephanie Beams Cook, Hospice of West Alabama, Kay Stephens and Kim Mann.
