Katherine Jane Herndon Morrison, age 68, of Coker, died April 18, 2017, at Hospice of West Alabama, Graveside services will be at 1 pm Monday, April 24, 2017, at Mesopotamia Cemetery in Eutaw, Al. Visitation will be from 10-11 am on Monday April 24, 2017, at Magnolia Chapel South. She was preceded in death by her parents Katherine and James Herndon Sr., and her brother James Herndon, Jr. Survivors include her son Jerrold Morrison, Jr. of Coker; daughter, Katrina Morrison, of Ducanville; grandchildren Audrey Morrison, of Dequincy, La., and Brittney Morrison, of Coker; niece, Carole Ann Earbrook (Leighton), of Curntuck, NC, Dewayne Herndon (Gayle), of Covington, GA; and close friends, Renee Williams, Betty Pruitt, and Kaye Herndon. Jane was born in Eutaw, AL on September 18, 1948. She attended Greene County High School where she graduated in 1966. She was employed at Greene County Nursing Home until moving to Gulf Shores in 1988. While there she worked at different hotels until moving to Tuscaloosa in 1997. She loved spending time with her family, being outside in nature and watching Alabama football. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Katherine Morrison to Hospice of West Alabama.
