Jude Ann Weir LeePard TUSCALOOSA | Jude Ann Weir LeePard, age 57, of Tuscaloosa, died August 10, 2014, at Hospice of West Alabama surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert William Weir; father-in-law, George LeePard; mother-in-law, Ann Wilson LeePard; and sister-in-law, Anita LeePard Bennett. Survivors include her husband Geoffrey Scott LeePard; mother, Estelle Marie Rodriguez Weir; daughter, Amy Christine LeePard (Randy Arnold); son, Austin Christopher LeePard (Jessica); granddaughter, Sera Ann; sisters, Nancy Stuckey, Rouge Davidson, Peggy Bradford, Christine Williamson, and Ann Smith; brother, Bob Weir, Jr.; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Jude was a talented and inspired artist who enjoyed a 25-year career as a graphic designer before pursuing her own creative work full-time during the past five years. Jude's life was defined by joy, hope, warmth, compassion, and empathy for others. She was a friend to everyone she met and she touched many lives. Family and friends are invited to celebrate the sacred gift of her life on Saturday, August 16th, 2014 at 3PM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Rick Chenault and Rev. Jeremy Burrage officiating, with musical accompaniment by Alan Pearce and Katy Sullivan. The family will receive friends and family at the church one hour prior to the service. Honorary pallbearers are her brothers-in-law Eddie Stuckey, Hal Davidson, Allen Williamson, and Michael Smith. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a fund being established in Jude's name to provide art education for at-risk youth.
