Joseph Glen Townsend, age 73, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., died December 2, 2017, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with Bro. Bobby Green officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Moundville, Ala., with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be today, December 5, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m., with the family one hour prior at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Effie Townsend. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Townsend; daughter, Tammy (Daniel); sons, Billy, Bert, Bobby (Louise), Bart and Brett (Tanci); sister, Judy (Gene); brothers, Howard (Becky), Gene (Nery) and Jerry; grandchildren, Alizabeth and Brett, Jr. and many more grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bratley Townsend, Brett Terrell, Jr., Josh Montgomery, Michael Townsend, Ray Townsend, Brandon Montgomery, Darrell Cook and Don Tucker.
