Joseph "Joe" Marvin Keller
NORTHPORT - Joseph "Joe" Marvin Keller, of Northport, Ala., born on November 9, 1939 to Mattie Mae and Pearson Hobson Keller of Tuscaloosa, left this life for his heavenly home at age 78 on August 13, 2018 in the care of Hospice of West Alabama, surrounded by family and friends.
Joe was the beloved husband of Marla Gale Keller and they were married for 57 years. He is survived by his brothers, Dan, Hugh and Roy Keller; his two sons, Micah Anson and Joseph Marvin II; and three much beloved grandchildren.
He was preceded by his youngest brother, Tommy.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Tuscaloosa. Joe loved people and spent his life in the service of others. He had a love that only came from the love of God.
Joe worked with prison ministries, Emmaus Walks and Kairos ministries, leading many to Christ. Joe had a wonderful cheerful personality and was very loved. Many knew him as a business leader known as Keller's Window and Wall Fashions for over 40 years.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North. Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with graveside visitation at Williamson Cemetery immediately afterwards for family and close friends.
Due to persons with severe allergies, in lieu of live flowers, the family has requested silk flowers, potted plants or a card with a note with what Joe meant to them.
