Johnny Smith

Johnny G. Smith, age 86, of Berry, Al. passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at home. A graveside service will be 12:00 PM Friday January 15, 2021, at Bone Camp Cemetery with Rev. Terrell Jones officiating and Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM Friday January 15, 2021 at the funeral home.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Catherine Smith; son, Tommy Logan; sisters, Varilla “Sue” Wright, Ilene Traweek, Floriene Traweek, and Estelle Butler; brothers, Otis, Leonard, Josh, and Lealand Smith; and daughter, Debra Sue Smith.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Martha Smith; daughters, Diane Rachels (Phillip), and Teresa Williamson; sons, Tim and Terry Logan; brother, Hillard “Hill” Smith (Clara), six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

He was a sheet metal worker who loved to fish, his horses and cows, and gardening.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Rachels, Phil Rachels, Jonathan Rachels, Lucas Jones, and Todd Logan.

Honorary pallbearers are members of Phillip’s Chapel, Dr. Sephen Browne and Alabama Hospice, and the Windham Springs community.
