John Stewart, Sr.

John Leroy Stewart, Sr. age 94 of Marion, Alabama passed away December 4, 2019 at Moundville Health and Rehab. Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 3:00 p.m at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00p.m. at the church. Rev. Arthur Thomas and Rev. James I. Davis will be officiating.

Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his parents, H.M. Stewart and Claudine Hoggle Stewart; Sisters, Mildred Etheridge, Ora Jean Crawford and Roberta Taylor; brother, Thomas Stewart; wife, Nina B. Stewart; son, John Leroy Stewart, Jr.

Survivors include his sister, Annie Wyatt; brother, Owen Stewart; grandchild, Lee Stewart(Loretta); great grandchildren, Tyler Stewart and LeAnn Lins (Jonathon).

Pallbearers will be Tyler Stewart, Jonathon Lins, Tommy Stewart, Norris Crawford, Mark Cochran and Ron Cochran.

Honorary pallbearers are Hale County Ambulance Service, DCH Medical Center, Moundville Health and Rehab., Hospice of West Alabama, Butch Laffitte, Ren Kynard, Donnie Stephens, Gerald Johnson, Dave Mitchell and Pat Ivey.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pleasant Valley Church Cemetery Fund.
