John Will Spradlin NORTHPORT - John Will Spradlin, age 90, of Northport, Ala.,passed away peacefully at home with his family on January 22, 2018.. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Dan Mallette officiating. A private burial will be held in Memory Hill Gardens with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth E. Spradlin of 59 years; parents, Robert and Gussie Spradlin; sisters, Margie Spradlin Wilson, Betty Spradlin Mallette and Mildred Spradlin Kirk; brother, Robert Y. Spradlin, Jr.; and half-brother, Danny Spradlin. Survivors include his son, Johnny Larry Spradlin (Jeanette) of Northport, Ala.; five brothers, Ronald Spradlin, Doyce Spradlin, Donnie Spradlin of Alabama, Harvey Spradlin and Mack Spradlin of Tenn.; grandchildren, John Anthony Spradlin (Kimberly) and Angie Stakes; and great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Brittany, Christian Spradlin and Justin and Dalton Stakes. He was a United States Army Air Corps veteran. He was a retired independent trucker and mechanic. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and loved his great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be his grandson, John Anthony Spradlin; great-grandsons, Justin and Dalton Stakes; nephews, Marshall Wilson and Randell Spradlin; and family friend, John Hayes. Honorary pallbearers are Amedisys Home Health and Hospice and the staff and personnel of Always There. .
