Joanna Munsell

JoAnna Munsell NORTHPORT | JoAnna Munsell, age 57, of Northport, died January 23, 2014, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Celebration Services will be 5 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2014, at Sulphur Springs Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Rick Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Munsell. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Tammy Camp (Jeff) of Northport; grandchildren, Wren Camp (Katelyn) and Marcus Camp (Anna); and great-grandchild, Mac Camp. Ms. JoAnna, as she was lovingly known, was a blessing to everyone of which she came in contact. She was born into a military family that took her through Europe as a child. As an adult Ms. JoAnna lived life to the fullest, experiencing everything from truck driving to working in the circus, to managing motels. In every situation, she loved and served people. After moving to Northport, Ms. JoAnna was diagnosed with a terminal lung disease. Shortly after, she committed her life to Christ and defied all odds by continuing to live and serve others and giving all glory to God. Ms. JoAnna loved her church and she will be sorely missed by everyone, especially the children whom she taught at Sulphur Springs. Her compassion and care will live on as a legacy of faith in her Lord.
