Jo Ann Holloway, age 80 of Northport, ran into the arms of her Savior on July 21, 2020. She was the perfect example of a Christian and lived every day for her Lord and Savior. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at 10:00 am at Winters Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel North directing.
She is preceded in death by her parents Chester and Erma Watson, her husband Curtis "Junior" Holloway and daughter Becky Crossland.
She is survived by her daughter; Cheri Jones (Jimmy), sisters; Bonnie Hutchins, Shirley Butler, Judy Watson (Wyman), brother; Terrell Watson, grandchildren; April Walker (Danny), Amy Crossland (Brad Fason), Leigh Anne Tinsley (Chris), Rylee Jamerson (Cody Collins) and Curt Jamerson, great grandchildren; Adilyn Walker, Camryn, Noah Tinsley, Eli Tinsley, and Jo-Leigh Collins.
"Granny" was the most beautiful, loving, and feisty, hilarious woman you could ever meet. She taught Sunday school every Sunday for as long as she was able. Because of her dedication, several children including her daughters and grandchildren were led to Christ. She was famous for her love of chocolate and good old fashion pranks.
While our hearts here on earth are broken, Heaven is rejoicing. She is reunited with her mother and daddy whom she has longed to see. We know she was overjoyed when she was greeted by Becky and her contagious laugh. Now she has walked the streets of gold hand in hand with her husband. They've finally finished their song in Heaven.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Jones, Jerome Crossland, Curt Jamerson, Danny Walker, Chris Tinsley, Brad Fason, and Cody Collins.
Honorary pallbearers are Jamie Robertson, Crystal Lovell, Carolwood Freewill Baptist and Amedysis Hospice.
