Jimmy McAteer Jr. BUHL - Jimmy McAteer, Jr. age 41, of Buhl, Ala, passed away October 18, 2016, in Coker, Ala. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. today, October 21, 2016 in Coker Cemetery with Bro. Woody Jones officiating. Visitation was held Thursday, October 20, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Coker United Methodist Church with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard Levins, Billy Snyder and Earlene and John McAteer. Survivors include his daughter, Marylyn McAteer; son, Marshall McAteer; parents, Yvonne and Keith Dismukes and Jimmy McAteer, Sr.; sisters, Carrie Robbins (Micah) and Wendy Barnhill (Tim); and grandmother, Betty Snyder. Jimmy was born in Tuscaloosa, Ala. but grew up in Coker, Ala. He graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1993. He loved working with wood and built many homes in the Tuscaloosa area. He was loved by many and will greatly and dearly missed. Pallbearers will be Marshall McAteer, Blake Robbins, Nate Robbins, Caleb Robbins, Skylar Barnhill, Rylan Barnhill and Chandler Barnhill. Honorary pallbearers are Doug Pugh, Mark Pugh and Messengers of the Cross. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Coker United Methodist Church or the UAB Burn Unit support group for burn victims and family.
