Jessie Clifton Sanders | NEW MARKET Jessie Clifton Sanders passed away April 16, 2011, at his home in New Market, Alabama. He WAS BORN June 7, 1933 in Gordo, Ala. and moved to New Market, Alabama in 2004. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Bonnie Sanders of Gordo, Alabama. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with Rev. Tom Hammonds officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Magnolia Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the funeral home. A memorial service at his church, Locust Grove in New Market, will be announced at a later date. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Karr Sanders; his son, Greg Sanders (Kim); grandchildren, Jared G. Sanders and Natalie Bass; two brothers, James R. Sanders (Lugene) and Jimmy Sanders (Gayle), both of Gordo, Alabama; sister Zelda Parker Truman of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; two stepchildren, Mark Anderson (Laura) of Huntsville, Alabama and Michael Anderson (Susan) of Marietta, Georgia; nine great-grandchildren; six nieces; and one nephew. Pallbearers will be Ricky and Jonathan Duffy, Joe and Joey Hocutt, and Mark and Michael Anderson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to American Cancer Society or to Locust Grove Baptist Church on Winchester Road in New Market, Alabama, 35761.
