Jerry E. Watkins TUSCALOOSA Jerry E. Watkins, age 65, of Tuscaloosa, Ala. went to be with our Lord on August 28, 2013. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with Dr. Curtis Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be Friday one hour prior to services at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifton E. Watkins and father-in-law, Clarence N. McCray. He leaves behind his best friend and loving wife of 39 years, Mrs. Shurra Watkins; sons, Jerry Christopher Watkins (Teresa) and Michael Wilkins (Karen); brothers, Tom Watkins (Melissa) and Wayne Watkins; mother, Gracie Watkins; mother-in-law, Francine McCray; grandchildren, Kayla and Hunter, Gavin, Tanner, and Ashton; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and brother and sister-in-law, Eber Barnett Jr. (Bonnie). He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, granddaddy, and best friend. His life was a true reflection of God's love, dedication, and patience. His greatest joy was fishing and spending time with his family and friends. His presence will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Pallbearers will be Dusty Green, Steve McGee, Eber Barnett, Jr., Neilson Barnett, Stephen Barnett, Matthew Watkins, Jason Watkins, and Cory Watkins. Honorary pallbearers are Blanton Paeham, Steve and Pam Jones, Wayne and Danielle Watkins, Russell and Brenda Calhoun, Sheilah and Jack Herron, Jimmy and Ann Sanford, Lanny and Karen Welch, Kay Williams, Jason and Amy Williams, Ray and Katie Wilkins, Phillip McGill, Bruce Dunkin, DCH Trauma and ICU 1st Floor, Dr. Keith DeBell, Dr. Matthew Thom, retirees and current employees of BF Goodrich, Taylorville Baptist Church "The Covenant Class", Central Church of Christ, Camilla Park neighborhood, and also anyone we left off, please forgive us, we love you!
