Jean Wiggins

Jean Morris Wiggins FOSTERS Jean Morris Wiggins, age 81, of Fosters, died Jan. 3, 2013, at home. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Sylvan United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hicks and Beatrice Morris; her brother, Joe Morris; and her husband, W.C. "Billy" Wiggins. Survivors include her beloved sons, William Clayborne "Clay" Wiggins Jr. (Erin), Dane Swanson Wiggins, and Forrest Lee Wiggins Sr.; her sister, Martha Morris; and her grandchildren, Cullen C. Wiggins, Hunter L. Wiggins, Wm. Chase Wiggins, Tara Wiggins, and Forrest Lee Wiggins Jr. Jean Morris Wiggins was born July 10, 1931, in Atlanta, Ga. Her family moved to Tuscaloosa, where she attended West End Christian School. Jean graduated from Tuscaloosa High School in the class of 1948 and attended the University of Alabama. At the age of 22, Jean married William C. Wiggins Sr. They lived their entire married life on their farm in Fosters. Jean was known for her kindness and her good sense of humor. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy. She loved them dearly. Jean will be missed by all who knew her. Pallbearers will be Forrest Lee Wiggins Jr., Cullen Wiggins, Chase Wiggins, Hunter Wiggins, Rex Froelich, and Scott Kelly. Honorary pallbearers are Frank Kelly, Bobby Hemphill, Mike Jacobs, Rocky Jacobs, Neil Snipes, Robbie Bigham, Chuck Glover, Frank Burns, Randall Brown, LeRoy McAbee, Donald Bailey, Jimbo Hallman, and Wesley McKinney. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Sylvan United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
