J.C. Hollingsworth NORTHPORT J.C. Hollingsworth, age 83, of Northport, died May 13, 2012, at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Freewill Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Jerry Smith officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by Luther P. Hollingsworth, Annie-Lou Bowls, Jewell Hollingsworth, Raburn Hollingsworth, Frances Crockett, and Euil Hollingsworth. Survivors include his daughter, Tereasa Dianna Paris of Moundville; his sisters, Ruby Beck of Tuscaloosa and Vernal Glossup of Mabank, Texas; and his brother, Lonnie Gay Hollingsworth of Northport. He was born in Fayette and raised in Tuscaloosa and Northport. He worked at Temerson Produce House, Curtis Block Company, and the City of Tuscaloosa for 29 years. He was owner and operator of General Yard Work for 52 years. He attended First Freewill Baptist Church of Northport all of his life. Pallbearers will be Buddy Sturdivant, Darryl Robertson, Pug Montgomery, Alvin Smith, Reggie James Hollingsworth, Donald Wilkerson, and Wayne Wheat. Honorary pallbearers are DCH Regional Medical Center and Northport Medical Center, Hospice of West Alabama, City of Tuscaloosa, Dr. Stephen Browne, Dr. Jordon, DCH Cancer Center, all members of First Freewill Tabernacle Baptist Church and On Eagles' Wings Church, special caregiver Brenda Gregg, Alacare Home Health and Hospice, and all doctors and caregivers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Freewill Tabernacle Baptist Church for unmarked graves. Published in Tuscaloosa News on May 15, 2012
