Jane Durham Newman TUSCALOOSA Jane Durham Newman of Tuscaloosa died Jan. 20, 2013, at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church Cemetery in Fayette with Rev. Brannon Pinion and Rev. Tim Tindle officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at #2 Sahama Village in Tuscaloosa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eubeeman Newman, and her sons, Roger and Tony Newman. Survivors include two sons, Michael Newman and Gary Newman; her daughters-in-law, Edith Grey, Linda Carol, Linda "Pooh", and Kathy Newman; her granddaughters, Jennifer Newman, Marsha Edge (Ron), and Kristy Sloan (Scott); and her great-grandchildren, Kolton and Dalton Sloan, Chase Newman, and Kayleigh Edge. Mrs. Newman was born in Suffolk County, England. She married her husband and moved to the United States as a war bride. She raised four boys and was retired from Sears, Roebuck & Co. after 30 years.
