James E. "Jimmy"� Tucker, age 79, of Northport, died Jan. 7, 2012, at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Carolwood Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Montgomery officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Eva Mae Tucker; grandparents, Nollie and Betty Utley and Grover and Rachael Tucker; and brothers-in-law, Steve Carnes and Willie Weaver. Survivors include his wife, Alita; daughters, Teresa Giovannangeli of Gulf Shores, Jan Shirley (Wes) of Jonesboro, Ga., and Cathy Goins (Gary) of Northport; son, Gerry Tucker of Brookwood; sister, Armalee Carnes of Jonesboro, Ga.; sister-in-law, Debbie Barnett (Jimmie) of Meridianville; grandchildren, Ric and Rob Englebert, Deanna Payne, Kristan and Dustin Tucker, and Matthew Goins; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers will be Ric Englebert, Rob Englebert, Brad Tucker, Monty Montgomery, Chris Foster, and Dustin Tucker. Honorary pallbearers are Pat and Sheila Lancaster, Bobby and Earline Beck, Eddie and Joan Goins, Jacqueline and Chad Waldrop, Peggy Crain, friends of Candlewood subdivision, CPS and Associates trucking friends, Dr. Keith DeBell, Dr. Warren Holley, DCH ACLU, 4th Floor and Home Health, and Hospice of West Alabama. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Carolwood Freewill Baptist Church.
