James Carlisle Suttle Sr. CENTREVILLE James Carlisle Suttle Sr., age 82, of Centreville, died Sept. 8, 2012, at Bibb Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brent Baptist Church with Greg Hyche officiating. Burial will follow in Pineland Memorial Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brent Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Carlisle Suttle; his mother, Lola Belcher Suttle; his sisters, Marion Suttle and Ann Suttle Avery; and his brother, William Jefferson Suttle. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Dukes Suttle of Centreville; his daughter, Teresa Lynn Suttle of Centreville; his sons, James Carlisle Suttle Jr. and Paul Albert Suttle Sr., both of Centreville; his brother, Joe Albert Suttle of Moody; his grandchildren, Paul Albert Suttle Jr., Lacey Suttle Mitchell, Mandy Suttle Franklin, and William Russell Suttle; and his great-grandchildren, Dyllan Kaine Suttle, Chloe Ann Mitchell, William Parker Mitchell, Aubrey Ann Franklin, William Compton Suttle, and William Wade Suttle. Jim had a great influence on the community and the citizens of Bibb County. He was the owner of H&S Auto Parts in Brent, Alabama and served the City of Brent as a City Councilman and Utility Board member for many years. He was instrumental in organizing the first little league program in Brent as the coach of the Brent Reds. Jim also worked tireless hours building the Bibb County High School Choctaw football stadium and Cahawba Christian Academy in Centreville. Jim played an important role in the lives of many young people in the community. He was an active member of Brent Baptist Church and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Pallbearers will be Paul Albert Suttle Jr., William Russell Suttle, Joseph Scott Suttle, Wayne Elliott Suttle, William Brad Mitchell, Charles Donald Lee, and Jay Danfortd Suttle. Honorary pallbearers are Kenny Murphy, Don Elam, Danny McMillan, Billy Patridge, Alvin George, Luther Jones, Don Murphy, Larry Smitherman, Eddie Belcher, Brad Belcher, Chad Belcher, Jimmy Morrison, and Joe Benne Martin.
