James R. Jones BUHL James R. Jones, age 76, of Buhl, died October 29, 2013, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2013, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Rev. David Kelly and Rev. Rickey Luker officiating. Burial will follow in Big Creek Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be Friday one hour prior to services at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reno and Blanche Jones; brother, Charles Jones; and brother-in-law, Troy F. Rice. Survivors include his wife, Betty Luker Jones of Buhl; sons, James N. Jones and Scott Jones, both of Buhl; sister, Shirley J. Rice of Northport; brother, David Jones (Margaret) of Enid, Okla.; and grandchildren, William N. Jones, John David Jones, and Andrew T. Jones, all of Buhl. Jimmy graduated from Tuscaloosa High School, following he served four years in the U.S. Navy. He did sheet metal work locally and retired from B.F. Goodrich. He was a farmer, fisherman and could repair any thing. He will be missed! Pallbearers will be Harold Mitchell, Donnie Jones, Eddie Jones, David Jones, Billy Sparks, Wesley Sparks, Jerry Luker, Rickey Luker, Daniel Guin, Fletcher Jones, and Billy McCool. Honorary pallbearers are Jordan Fondren, Garrett Fondren, retired members of Uniroyal-Goodrich, Palmetto Hunting Club members, friends of Roebuck Landing and Clear Creek, and friends of Buhl and Coker community. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to one's favorite charity.
