James Hershel Morrow NORTHPORT James Hershel Morrow, age 83, of Northport, died Oct. 3, 2012, in Dothan. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery, 14837 Alabama Hwy. 69 North, Northport, AL 35475, with Rev. Rock Stone officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Friday at Macedonia United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Virgil and Bonnie Rankin Morrow; his brother, William Howard Morrow; and his grandson, Elliott Morrow Flowers. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Bobbie Lou Turner Morrow of Northport; his daughters, Carol Morrow Flowers (Robert) of Dothan and Terry Ann Morrow of Tuscaloosa; his son, James Ronald Morrow (Nina Moody) of Franklin, N.C.; his sisters, Evelyn Hicks of Birmingham, Helen Black of Atlanta, Ga., and Ruth Ann Bastin (Al) of Atlanta, Ga.; his grandchildren, Kara Morrow-Curren (Matt) of Wooster, Ohio, Allison Flowers Ahern (J.J.) of Atlanta, Ga., Katherine Grace Flowers of Palo Alto, Calif., Rebecca Ila Flowers of Atlanta, Ga., Elizabeth Tazewell Flowers of Charleston, S.C., Daniel Jason Solowes of Dothan, and Julie Ann Solowes of Birmingham; and his great-grandchildren, Danielle Grace Morrow of Tuscaloosa, Addison James Morrow Curren of Wooster, Ohio, and Caroline Lucille Ahern and Grace Morrow Ahern of Atlanta, Ga. Mr. Morrow was born Nov. 6, 1928, in Birmingham. He graduated from Minor High School in 1947. He was employed by and retired from IBM and then founded Morcomp Services in Tuscaloosa. Pallbearers will be Jason Solowes, Ed Castleberry, Brandon Booth, Bill Turner, Randy Booth, and Kenneth Usry. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Macedonia United Methodist Church, 14837 Alabama Hwy. 69 North, Northport, AL 35475.
