James "Jim" McDuffie NORTHPORT James "Jim"� McDuffie, age 79, of Northport, died Jan. 31, 2013, at DCH Re-gional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Mag-nolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Pastor Alan Roggli officiating. Burial will follow at Carroll's Creek Baptist Church with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visita-tion will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Connie Lee Robertson McDuffie; and his brother, John McDuffie. He is survived by his wife, Martha Thomas McDuffie of Northport; his daughters Pam Rodriguez of Owasso, Okla., and Libby Jaskar of Katy, Texas; his stepdaughters, Mi-chelle Troemel of Skiatook, Okla., and Melinda Gulledge of Tuscaloosa; his sister, Patricia McDuffie Spencer of Alma, Ark., his grandchildren, Emily, Paige, Janee', Byron, and Rhiannon; and two great-grandchildren. Jim was a successful busi-ness owner. He enjoyed family, playing golf, watching football, traveling the world, restoring vintage cars, attending church, and volunteering at DCH. Pallbearers are Paul Gulledge, Byron Gulledge, Cliff Montgomery, Mike Davis, and Eddy Alexander. Honorary Pallbearers are the nurses and doctors at DCH Cancer Center and DCH on 6th Street South. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Carroll's Creek Baptist Church Building Fund.
