James W. Ernest "Jimbo"
TUSCALOOSA } James W. Ernest, our "Special Olympian" , age 56, left us June 2, 2018, to enter into his eternal heavenly home.
Survivors include his mother, Judy Parris (Johnny) of Tuscaloosa, his father Billy Ernest (Dean) of Sweet Water and his siblings; Larry Ernest (Lana), Charlie Ernest (Sara), Bennie Ernest (Kathy), Beth Tyra (Randy), Jonacha Ward (Ashley), Delano Goodman, Diana Lucker (Tommy), Vanessa Phillips (Rocky), James Goodman, and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
He cherished his relationship with lifelong family and friends, Voncile and David Styres. Jimmy anxiously awaited each upcoming sporting event, in which he would participate, with the Tuscaloosa County PARA TROOPERS. These friends made a huge impact on his life and he loved them dearly. His passion was bringing home "Gold" from the multiple Alabama State and The USA National Special Olympic Games he had the privilege to attend.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday June 5, 2018 starting at 10:00 am at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Romulus with Mr. Frank Kelly leading the service and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. visitation will be held Monday, June 4, 2018 from 5:00 pm ~ 7:00 pm at Magnolia Chapel South.
Honorary pallbearers are the PARA TROOPERS of Tuscaloosa County and friends of Fieldcrest Apartments.
