James Elias Boothe James Elias Boothe, age 78, of Boothtown Rd., died Feb. 6, 2015, at home. Services will be 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, at Buhl Church of God with Rev. David Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Calcedonia Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation with the body lying in state will be one hour prior to services at the church. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elemor Channell-Boothe; son, Michael Boothe; father, Elias Boothe; mother, Buna Strickland-Boothe; four sisters; and five brothers. Survivors include his daughters, Delois Boothe-Caldwell (Edward) and Eileen Boothe-Hubbard (Richard); son, Reggie Elias Boothe (Donna); sisters, Madgline Kelly, Faye Thomas, and Lillie Ragland; grandchildren, Jeremy Taylor, Justin Taylor, Jonathan Boothe, Josh Caldwell, Ciara Avans-Grimsley (Brandon), and Carie Avans-Guin (Daniel); and great-grandchildren, Addison Grimsley, Emma Guin, and Jason Caldwell. Pallbearers will be Justin Taylor, Jeremy Taylor, Jonathan Boothe, Mike Taylor, Brandon Grimsley, and Daniel Guin. Honorary pallbearers are Shelvia "Cricket" Comer, Amanda "Grasshopper" Tucker, Keith Strickland, Jenna Moyer, R.N. and employees of Southern Care Hospice, and his loving dog, Cocoa.
