Jack Calvin Trippe GREENSBORO - Jack Calvin Trippe, age 78, of Greensboro, Ala., died Saturday, March 19, 2016, at home. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Greensboro Bible Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Vernon officiating. Burial will follow in the Greensboro Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. He was preceded in death by his father, John Douglas Trippe and mother, Gertrude Morgan Trippe. Survivors include his wife, Susan Downing Trippe; daughters, Sharon James and Catherine Alls; sister, Eoline T. Johnson; brother, Walter D. Trippe; and grandchildren, Jordan Elizabeth James, Abby Catherine James, Jesse James, Olivia Lynette Alls, Megyn Eliza Alls and Ashton Alls. Jack retired from the 1166th MP Unit Alabama National Guard with 42 years of service and from the Hale County Highway Department. He was a loving husband, father and Pawpaw. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Jack's memory to the American Cancer Society .
