Irvin Smith

Irvin Eugene Smith, age 55, of Northport, Ala., passed away April 2, 2025 at his home.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Smith.

Survivors include his son, Ervin Eugene Smith Jr.; sister, Paula Smith; brothers, James Smith and David Smith; mother, Margaret Smith; grandchildren, Holden, Presleigh, and Parker Smith; sisters-in-law, Regina Smith and Lindsey Smith; nieces, Deanna, Jessica, Amber, and Rory; and nephews, Christian and Easton

Irvin Smith was born a miracle of less than 5 lbs on September 22, 1969 to Margaret and Gene Smith in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Irvin was the first born of four siblings and was the most strong-willed and stubborn of all of them. He worked hard throughout his life and had his son EJ at the age of seventeen. Irvin loved his family and anyone that met him loved his stories and loved to sit and laugh together. He lived a full life, but was taken too soon. He will be missed dearly, but we rejoice that he is at peace and celebrated in death as he was in life.
