Imogene Reeves Jones TUSCALOOSA Imogene Reeves Jones, age 76, of Tuscaloosa, died Jan. 3, 2013, at UAB Hospital. Services will be 3 p.m. today at Big Sandy Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Big Sandy Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Reeves, D.M. and Essie Lou Taylor. Survivors include her daughter, Beth Jones Dunn (Jimmy) of Tuscaloosa; her son, Bert Jones (DeAnna) of Cartersville, Ga.; her sisters, Cruse Dutton of Demopolis and Tillie Bouler of Cleveland, Miss.; her brothers, Matt Taylor of Demopolis and Dock Taylor of Fosters; and her grandchildren, Andrew Jones, Katharine Jones, and Brett Dunn. Imogene was born January 6, 1936, in Forkland. She graduated from Livingston High School in 1954 and from Druid City Hospital School of Nursing in 1957. She began her career as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery and retired from DCH Regional Medical Center in 1993. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Dutton, John Dutton, Andrew Jones, Scott Coley, Keith Davis, and Mac Archibald. Honorary pallbearers are numerous friends from Big Sandy Baptist Church and community and employees of DCH Regional Medical Center with whom she worked for over 30 years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Big Sandy Baptist Church or Big Sandy Cemetery Fund.
