Horrice Elbert Ray

Horrice Elbert Ray, age 88, of Duncanville, Alabama passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Hospice of West Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stancil H. Ray and Josie D. Ray. He is survived by his wife, Linda Cockrell Ray; three daughters, Pamela Ray Green (Donnie), Angela Ray Paulene (Robbie) and Brittany Ray Crockett (Trey); siblings, Billy Joe Ray (Jo Ann), Shirley Smith, James Ray (Gail), GayNell Olive (Don); grandchildren, Jason Green, Robert Green (Laura), Alex Green (Kayla), Cody DeRamus (Bethanne), Ashley Stange (Steven) and Lily Crockett; great-grandchildren, Luella Tolbert, Zander Green and Lane DeRamus; and many nieces and nephews.  

Elbert “PawPaw” loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His favorite hobbies were fishing and hunting. He has been a member of the Basinger Hunting Club since 1997. 

A private family service will be held at a later date.
