Hilda Reed

Hilda Jane Reed, age 76, of Northport, Alabama, passed away April 19, 2024 at Park Manor Health & Rehab. Services will be Tuesday April 30th from 11:30am-12:30pm at Harvest Church, 14585 US-82 Coker Al 35452. Magnolia Chapel North is assisting the family with final care.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Vaudie Reed; father, Claudie Reed; son, Jeff Hamner; and brother, Ronald Reed.

Survivors include her daughters, Wanda Hamner and Vonda Hamner; sister, Helen Edge; grandchildren, Wendy Fields, Wade Simpson, Claudia Gutierrez, Chelsea Padilla, Victoria Martinez, Dillan Hamner, Cristina Hamner, Felicia Hamner, Carla Trejo, Denise Hamner, Maria Hamner, Dustin Hamner, Amy Trejo, Trinity O’Bryant, and Christopher Hamner; and 31 great-grandkids.

Hilda was a very loving person and was loved and appreciated by many. She raised her three children, Wanda, Vonda, and Jeff and loved them as well as her grandkids and great-grandkids. She had two siblings, Helen Edge and Ronald Reed, her sister and brother. She was the daughter of Mr. Claudie Reed and Mrs. Vaudie Reed. She had lots of friends who loved her. She will be dearly missed and loved forever. She was an amazing person to us all. She fought a battle with colon cancer for months and during this time, she always had a smile on her face …even to the end. She will always be in our hearts, and we miss her deeply!
