Herchel acquired the name Pop from his grandchildren and from that day on he became Pop and Sandra became Granny to everyone. Pop and Granny enjoyed traveling to Gatlinburg, Pops favorite place on earth, he loved looking at all the animals and different colors of the leaves. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandsons Taylor and Tyler, both married beautiful and loving girls Karlie Nichols and Sherrell Ann Rayfield and Pop loved them and treated them like his own. The great grandchildren came and Pop was over joyed, Madden, Fisher and Maren kind of took over where the boys left off. If you knew Pop you know he loved cars and trucks, you never knew what he would drive up in. He loved the Lord and he loved worshipping and going to church. He loved going to gospel singings and singing in church himself. He was always glad to sing whenever he wa needed. Pop loved life and it loved him. Pop was larger than our family. He touched so many lives that we never knew. The outpouring of love for Pop is overwhelming. Pop was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, grandfather-in-law, and great grandfather. He will always be lovingly remembered as Pop.
