Henry Shuttlesworth, age 75, of Cottondale, Ala., died January 4, 2017, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2017, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Cullen Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burley Mark and Mary Jane Shuttlesworth; daughter, Tammy Simpkins and sons-in-law, Brett Hallum and Michael Hartman. Survivors include his devoted wife, Bertha Shuttlesworth, of 54 years; daughters, Ann Hallum and Vicky Barner (Tim); son-in-law, Chuck Simpkins; sister, Elizabeth Arnold (Joe); brother, John Shuttlesworth; grandchildren, Jason Shuttlesworth (Christine), Chrissy Cassavaugh (Dusty), Paul Hartman (Kayla), Rachel Madison, Daniel Hallum and Chase Simpkins; and great-grandchildren, Steven Cassavaugh and Jackson Wade. Henry was a devoted loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked hard his whole life to provide for his family. He was a passionate deacon for Scottsville Union Church. His favorite verse in the Bible is John 3:16. Pallbearers will be Paul Hartman, Jason Shuttlesworth, Tim Barner, Dusty Cassavaugh, David Seale and Joey Seale. Honorary pallbearers are Cullen Williams, David Ward, Hospice of West Alabama, Wayne and Regina Poole, Betty Jarrell, "Standin Firm"�, Richmond Stovall, "�Pure Heart"� Rayford Higdon, Tom Allen, Brenda Sansom, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Sanford, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Cooley, Ray Colburn, Judy Graham and several other close friends.
