Henrietta Latham

Henrietta F. Latham, age 77, of Tuscaloosa, died Aug. 18, 2011, at home. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Taylorville Baptist Church with Curtis A. Kelly officiating. A private burial will follow in Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip E. Latham; parents, Wester R. and Erma H. Fulgham; and brother, Wester R. Fulgham, Jr. (Betty). Survivors include her sons, James E. Latham (Beth) of Tuscaloosa and Jerry L. Latham of Huntsville; sisters, Vaudine Lancaster and Vivian Johnson (Paul); sisters-in-law, Mary Latham and Irma Latham; brother, George Fulgham (Sybil); and numerous nieces and nephews. Henrietta was born in Pickens County, Ala. and lived in Tuscaloosa since 1954. She was employed by Pizitz Department Store until the birth of her children. She was a wonderful mother and devoted wife. She was a fine Christian woman, active in her church life, and loved by all who knew her. Pallbearers will be Jamie Lancaster, Barry Johnson, Steve Fulgham, Scott Fulgham, Rodney Fulgham, and Bill Stewart. Honorary pallbearers are neighbors in Hunters Run and members of Taylorville Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Taylorville Baptist Church Building Fund.
