Hazel B. Davis Hazel B Davis was born May 10th 1922 to John Curry Boothe and Maudell Barton Boothe,l passed away Sept 14th 2016 in Gulf Breeze Florida. Hazel was born in Tuscaloosa Alabama and lived most of her life there. Hazel moved to Gulf Breeze Florida to be closer to her son and Grandsons. She worked in the Student services division of the University of Alabama for 20 years. A job and staff she loved and was proud of what the accomplished, before retiring. Upon retiring she was a volunteer with the YMCA, Druid City Hospital and Forest Lake United Methodist Church. She was a member of Forest Lake United Methodist church for over 50 years. When she moved to Gulf Breeze Florida she joined Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church. Hazel was Active with the seniors groups at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church. Hazel made special plans to be at Church on Wednesdays to be part of Ruth Knights Bible study. She is preceded in death by her father John Curry Boothe, her Mother Maudell Barton Boothe, Her two brothers Winston Boothe, Henry Boothe, one sister Mary Sue Bishoff, Her Husband of 55 years Ross E Davis Jr. She is Survived by one son Paul Edwin Davis of Gulf Breeze, 2 Grandsons that where the light of her life, Taylor Davis Gulf Breeze Florida , Ross E Davis III and His wife Kaylin of Ocala Florida, Her one Sister Barbra B Anders and her Husband Jim. Hazel had many Nieces and Nephews. Services will be at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South 6100 Old Greensboro Road Tuscaloosa on Saturday September 17th 2016 at 11:00am with visitation from 10:30 to 11:00. Service will be in the chapel at 11:00am In Lieu of Flowers the family ask that you make a donation to your Favorite Charity.
