Gwendolyn Mcclain

Gwendolyn Joy McClain passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at Hospice of West Alabama. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Sylvia and David Davis. Survivors include her siblings Cindy Warren and Ben Davis, daughter Michelle Alazzam and son Michael McClain. Grandchildren Sebastian and Piper. She spent over twenty-years working for the USPS delivering mail and enjoyed brightening people's days and running from tiny dogs. She loved to joke and spread happiness with her infectious laughter. She will be missed.The family would like to thank the incredible nurses and aids at TSICU and oncology ward at DCH and those at Hospice of West Alabama. Just all the nurses in general.A private ceremony will be held for immediate friends and family.In lieu of flowers, the family asks you make donations to Hospice of West Alabama, the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, or the American Cancer Association.The family would also like to thank Angela Perrin. For helping bring Gwen to treatments, and doctor visits, and staying with her in the hospital, and while in hospice care, and for just being her friend.
