Grover Snyder, age 96, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama went home to be with the Lord on May 17, 2024. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 11:00 am at Memory Hill Gardens with Dr. Curtis Kelley and Pastor David Mills officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing.

Grover was preceded in death by his mother, Maggie Mae Snyder; wife, Darlene Snyder; his son, Randy Snyder; and his grandson, Todd Richardson.

Survivors include his daughters, Rita Richardson (Ken),Lisa Hutchins (John); and daughter -in-law, Krista Snyder; grandchildren, Keely Duke, Andrew Snyder (Kaysi), and Taylor Hughes (Brandon); great-grandchildren, Ike Duke, Maggie Duke, Lucy Duke, Will Hutchinson, Cooper Snyder, Casyn Snyder, Eli Baker Hughes, and Grayton Hughes; and a number of nephews and nieces and extended family.

Grover was the oldest member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church at the time of his death. He served the Lord faithfully for many years as a Deacon and faithful church member.

Grover lived an "extraordinary life". He was in the car business, owning Snyder's Used Cars, for 32 years. At the age of 50, he started playing golf and immediately fell in love with the game. Over the years, he made 20 Holes-in One, many Eagles, and he was well known for his superb putting. Grover enjoyed his best days golfing with his buddies at various golf courses. He also enjoyed bird hunting, gardening, and watching Alabama football.

Grover was a great husband and father. He was the best "Pa" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved his family whole heartedly and he will be a lot to miss!

Pallbearers will be Andrew Snyder, Brandon Hughes, Ike Duke, Will Hutchinson, Faron Fields, Harold Barnes, Buddy Butler, and Ray Brown.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Scott Fulgham, Dr. Chandra, Curtis and Barbara Kelley, member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, the Links Golf Course, Nolan and Nancy Steele, and Barbara Fields.

In lieu of flowers , the family request donations to the Building Fund at Ridgecrest Baptist Church or Taylorville Baptist Church.
