Grace Tierce

Grace Clements Tierce NORTHPORT | Grace Clements Tierce, age 89 of Northport, died May 9, 2015, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Campground United Methodist Church with Rev. Frances Collins and Rev. Jerry Montgomery officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation was held one hour prior to services at the church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sampson and Georgia Clements; 11 siblings; husband, W.C. Tierce; two grandchildren, Joshua Bowers and Lolly Reed; and one infant son. Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Scrivner (Johnny), Sheila Ellis (Eddie), Cynthia Adams, and Edna Bowers (Greg); son, Winfield Tierce (Lisa); sister, Christine Hyde of California; eight grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bob Burke, Matthew Burke, Aaron Borwn, Jamie Campbell, Leon Clements, Corey Green, and John Walker IV. Honorary pallbearers are Hospice of West Alabama, Gentiva Home Health, the Stroke Unit at DCH Regional Medical Center, Donna Faye Amerson, friends of Northside/Samantha communities, and Dr. Douglas Reynolds and staff. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of West Alabama or Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
