Gloria Shirley

Gloria Jean Bryan Shirley, age 74 of Birmingham, passed away September 13, 2022. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 2:00 pm at The Shirley Farm, Old Mt. Hebron, Alabama with Magnolia Chapel South directing.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rayburn Shirley, daughter; Rachel Leigh Shirley, parents; Joseph and VernaBryan.

Survivors include her sons; Bryan Shirley and Joe Shirley (Erin), and her grandchildren; Benjamin, Emma, and Connor.

Gloria was born in Nashville, Tennessee to Joseph and Verna Bryan. As a child, she was a gifted musician and spent a great deal of time playing the accordion. She was a graduate of Hewitt - Trussville High School.

In 1968 Gloria met the love of her life, Ray Shirley. They married and raised their children in Center Point, where they resided until Ray's death in April of 2020. They were married for 51 years. Her long marriage, her children and her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
