Glenda T. Strickland SAMANTHA Glenda T. Strickland, age 74, of Samantha, died October 25, 2013, at Hunter Creek Nursing Home. Services will be 2 p.m. today, October 27, 2013 at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Rev. Raymond Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Phillips Chapel Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her father, John Cary Thomas; mother, Velma Thomas; and brothers, Carless C. Thomas and Arles C. Thomas. Survivors include her husband, Rev. James P. Strickland; daughters, Sheila Strickland Townsend and Alesia Strickland Jefferson; sons, James D. Strickland and Garland C. Strickland; brother, Rev. Dewey Thomas; and grandchildren, James M. Strickland, Kerry Jerome Strickland, Kaloni S. McCool, Latisha Jefferson, and Brandi Jefferson. Pallbearers will be James M. Strickland, John Thomas, Michel Thomas, Gene Thomas, Herbert Jefferson Jr., and Kerry Jerome Strickland. Honorary pallbearer is Ray Chestnut.
