Glenda Driver Croft, beloved banker and devoted minister’s wife, died March 4, 2022, at Hospice of West Alabama surrounded by her loving family after a fierce battle with cancer. She was 80 years old. Her parents, Ora Lester Driver and Winnie Chamblee Driver, and two siblings, Emmidee Driver Partridge and Wayne Driver preceded her in death. Left to treasure her memory are her husband, Rev. Jerry Alvin Croft, and two children, Dr. Terri Croft Boman and Joseph Alvin Croft (Crystal Campbell Croft). She is also survived by three grandchildren, Hunter Scott Boman (Emily Katherine Kearney Boman), Sierra Croft Bryan (Jeremy Bryan), Connor Croft, and two beautiful great grandchildren, Emalyn Ruth and Hollis Kearney Boman. She has two surviving siblings, Virginia King and Joan Treadway.
Glenda was the dedicated wife of a Methodist minister making a loving home for her husband and children in numerous places across the state of Alabama. She was a stay-at-home mom until her youngest child, Joey, started to kindergarten. Then she found a love for banking and made a career holding many positions and always greeting her customers with friendly banter and a warm smile. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, watching Alabama football (Roll Tide!), and attending church where she served faithfully.
Glenda’s family would like to thank the nurses at Hospice of West Alabama for their compassion and meticulous care and two very special physicians, Dr. Howard Winfield at DCH and
Dr. Warner Huh at UAB. To honor her memory, please donate to Hospice of West Alabama, 3851 Loop Road, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404 or any United Methodist Church.
