She was a member of the Gorgas Homemaker's Club and a certified lay speaker with the United Methodist Conference. She was retired from the V.A. Medical Center. Ninney was the strong foundation and center of our family. Her faith, grace, strength and love shined bright for everyone to see. By example, she taught us about the love of Jesus Christ, love of family and importance of friends. Sunday dinners at Ninney's house were always an important time for us to gather around the table to spend time together. The memories we have will be forever cherished. Ninney will be greatly missed and her sweet sweet spirit will always be with us. We find comfort in knowing she is in her mansion in Heaven and she will always have her arms around us. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are friends of Samantha Community, Haygood and Campground Churches, The United Methodist Women and Gorgas Homemakers Club and Joyce Burrage. A special thanks to all Hospice Caregivers that took loving care of our mother, Stacey Evans (honorary granddaughter), Rev. George Jackson, Mrs. Francis Collins (honorary Sister), all nursing staff at the Manderson Cancer Center and Dr. Anguiano. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
